| Whosoever finds a destitute, old or mentally retarded person abandoned, can call us or bring them to our Home without any hesitation. Sometimes the local police also help us. It is not easy to bring them to the Home as the people instinctively try to avoid strangers and feel uncomfortable. We request them in different languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu etc., as we do not know which language the person understands. The first few days with a new inmate are difficult to handle. They are usually at sea with the surroundings and refuse to mingle. They do not allow us to clean them. But slowly they start trusting us. The best medicine we provide them is ‘love’. Slowly they start feeling homely and comfortable. My 9 year old daughter ‘Pallavi’ is happy living with the inmates. |
